Within the learner’s job role an awareness of both the internal and external customers is an important aspect. This module will introduce the learner to managing both internal and external flows throughout the supply chain. The areas of communication and information flows within the supply chain will also be introduced, why both of these are key to the learner’s job role. There is an emphasis placed throughout the module on using data reports and analysing these reports. The learner will also be introduced to incoming and outgoing information management. The assessment for the module will be preparation of a report for the internal/external customer.

The micro credential is for those at a level 6 from the national qualification’s framework. Learners who participate in the micro credentials will have the knowledge to complete their newly appointed Job role.

The suite of micro credentials were developed to give operations staff the skillset for promotion within their companies to Team Leader and Supervisor. One of the benefits of a micro-credential is its compact, flexible nature.

All modules are designed with the learner in mind and to enable the learner to progress at their own pace with the online content being available a month in advance of the online day with their instructor.

Carlow Kilkenny Skillnet have worked with member companies to develop a suite of micro credentials targeted at operational level staff.
The aim of this training is to deliver targeted and impactful training that is immediately useful to the individual organisation. The information will be delivered in bitesize pieces to allow staff complete training that has immediate relevance and can be delivered in one day.

Description of the Learning Process
Students will engage with online and offline learning resources, participate in group discussion and independent reading & current research.
All the modules are 8 hours of self-directed learning, 8 hours of live teaching and a practice based assessment that will form part of the candidates work.
• 100% Online delivery.
• Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).
• Duration: 2 ECTS; 8 hours (one full day)
• Encompasses lectures, complementary reading and video materials, and independent self-directed learning (8 Hours per module).
• Online assessment and learner feedback.

All courses offer multiple options for learning, including on-demand study, so that students with different commitments and responsibilities can choose a learning path that suits their lifestyle, career goals, and timeline.
The overall objectives for the micro-credentials can be to provide soft skills and hard skills for the learner and their role within your company. There is an emphasis on both soft skills and hard skills within each module.

The micro credentials are pitched at a level 6 from the national qualifications framework. Learners who participate in the micro credentials will have the knowledge to complete their newly appointed Job role.

Assessments are adapted to ensure that learners are enabled to use systems that they are familiar with within their own companies. For this reason, assessments will be submitted within one week of completion of the ‘face-to-face’ day that occurs online.
